Cartmel Village Shop is the home of sticky toffee pudding. The pudding was born in the Village Shop’s back kitchen over 20 years ago. Word soon got out and everyone wanted some, so they had to move the kitchen. But, the sticky toffee pudding is still hand made using the same recipe.

Higginsons butchers of Grange-over-Sands began over 30 years ago when Stuart and Pauline Higginson set up a small, high street shop that brought the art of butchery to a handful of customers. Since then, Higginsons has expanded to include a bespoke delicatessen and an online shop. They've gained a widespread reputation among locals as "the place to buy good meat online".

Trail through the beautiful countryside around this organic dairy farm. Pick up some speciality food and drink in the late 17th century barn farm shop. Discover craft, gift galleries, and watch our cows being milked whilst you enjoy a delicious afternoon tea.

Our parent company, Lake District Estates, has four Peter Rabbit & Friends shops located in Bowness-on-Windermere, Hawkshead, Keswick and Grasmere. All of the shops are open all year, seven days a week. The Bowness-on-Windermere branch is located in St. Martin’s Square and is clearly visible from the parish church. The Hawkshead branch, which is just a stone’s throw away from the Beatrix Pottery Gallery, a short distance from Hill Top.
